I have worked in finance for over 20 years and spent much of my time in corporate accounting. I shifted to retail finance, and particularly mortgages because I wanted to help families and individuals on a more direct level. Being able to help people improve their financial situation is an aspect of my job that I truly value and enjoy.
A little about me to help you get a sense of who I am. I grew up in Rochester Hills, MI, where I reside today! I have three children with my husband, Rob. We also have a dog named Peaches and a cat named Lexi!
When I'm not helping people save money on their mortgage, I like spending time at the beach, traveling, or participating in group fitness!

The Home Purchase Loan Process
Here's how our home purchase loan process works:
To qualify for a mortgage, lenders typically require that you have a debt-to-income ratio of "43/49." This means that no more than 43% of your total monthly income (from all sources, before taxes) can go toward your new mortgage payment, and no more than 49.99% of your monthly income can go toward your total monthly debt (including your mortgage payment). VA and FHA loans even allow for higher debt ratios on a case-by-case basis.

Refinancing is the process of paying off your existing mortgage with a new mortgage. Typically, you refinance your mortgage to reduce your interest rate and monthly payment or change the length (or term) of your mortgage. You may also refinance to take cash out from your home’s equity.
